Bio
Born in 1978 in Tuzla.
Graduated in 2003 from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Sarajevo.
In 2013, she received her doctorate in the field of architecture and urban planning at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Sarajevo.
Since 2004, she has been employed at the Faculty of Architecture in Sarajevo, at the Department of Urbanism and Spatial Planning, currently as an assistant professor.
During her studies and later during her academic career, she collaborated with universities all over Europe and the world (TU Stuttgart, TU Vienna, Inalco institute Paris, TU Istanbul, TU Delft, ETSA Barcelona, ​​La Villete Paris, ALBA Beirut, etc.). She is also developing her professional career through the Institute for Architecture, Urbanism and Spatial Planning AFS, where she leads a team in charge of projects in the field of urbanism, but also through cooperation with local communities and professional associations, and as a consultant for UNDP and the World Bank on Recovery, Local Integrated Development projects. , Climate-Ready Cities.
Since 2018, she has been a representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She connects her political engagement with professional engagement. Since 2012 she has been participating in the work of the commissions for urbanism and spatial planning and the protection of cultural, natural and historical heritage of the FBiH, the Canton of Sarajevo, the City Sarajevo, Novi Grad Municipality, Center Sarajevo.
Significant cooperation was achieved with Friedrich Naumann, Westminster for Democracy, Heinrich Böll and Boris Divković Foundation on projects and seminars in the field of spatial policy, environmental protection and smart city solutions.
From May 2023, appointed to the position of Minister of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
