
Amir Memic 🇺🇸
Amir Memic co-founded and is the current Chief Operating Officer of Centerstream – an energy company backed by Greystar. Greystar is one of the largest private equity investment banks in the world focused on large real estate investments and infrastructure projects. Amir brings more than 16 years of technical and operational leadership to Centerstream, where he directs all aspects of project development, construction, and asset performance across the company’s district-energy portfolio. His oversight has enabled the successful launch and advancement of multiple large-scale district-energy and cogeneration initiatives that provide resilient, low-carbon service to commercial, institutional, and municipal customers across the United States.
Before joining Centerstream, Mr. Memic held senior roles at NextEra Energy – the largest publicly traded utility and renewable energy company in the world, and Lower Colorado River Authority – the second largest transmission utility in the State of Texas. There he led multidisciplinary teams in interconnecting over 1.5 gigawatts of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery-storage projects and executed major power transmission-system upgrades across the Texas power grid. His experience spans the full project life cycle – from interconnection studies and regulatory approvals to construction management and long-term operations – ensuring reliability and cost discipline for critical infrastructure.
Amir holds an Masters in Business from the McCombs School of Business and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering, both at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
