Melita Kurtovic

Melita was born in the beautiful town of Bihac and raised and schooled in Valdobbiadene, Italy after moving there in 1993. She landed her first job at the age of 14 as a waitress in the town’s one and only cafe. Like many refugee families the beginning was very difficult and Melita was eager to contribute financially to her family as soon as she could. Since then she took on many different jobs, working for a micro-credit financial provider, picking grapes to for wineries, managing events for Expats in the Netherlands. 

She studied foreign languages and communication at the University of Padova and 

relocated to the Netherlands in 2015 to complete a masters in Consultancy and Entrepreneurship at the Rotterdam Business School. Shortly after graduating, she landed a role with Align Technologies where she focused on talent acquisition. At the end of 2019, Melita landed a role with household entertainment name, Netflix! E

At Netflix, Melita is leading People Analytics and Tools for the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

She is combining art and science to equip the Human Resources teams with the tools, the knowledge and the data acumen to do their best work with our employees and candidates. She is focused on automation, product development, system integrations with an aim of creating more space for HR teams to add value and create meaningful connections. 

Melita’s goal is to equip future generations with the personal development tools needed to succeed by creating the best careers and lives for themselves.
