Bio
Twenty years of professional project management experience in international development programs characterize Nina Kovač. The development of tourist services and products, inclusive and high-quality education, youth employability, and workforce development are among her areas of expertise. She possesses expertise in workforce development within the tourism industry, having improved vocational high school curricula, developed university programs that adhere to the most rigorous international standards, and designed independent and on-the-job professional development opportunities.
Nina Kovač has been actively engaged in the advancement and restructuring of the education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the broader region since 2003. She has contributed to the empowerment of women and the protection of vulnerable groups, in addition to establishing quality assurance systems at universities in Bosnia and Kosovo and introducing innovations in formal education (including intercultural education, key competencies and life skills, and more accessible preschool education).
She has worked on projects funded internationally, by the EU, the United Nations, and the Regional Cooperation Council, UNICEF, UNDP, and WUS Austria. Nina Kovač has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Sarajevo and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Turin.
