Bio
Sanja Kavaz, a seasoned outdoor freelance journalist and event organizer, boasts 11 years of experience as a web page editor-in-chief and columnist. As an accomplished endurance athlete, she has completed a 100-mile race, multiple 100K trail races, and the challenging 350-kilometer John Muir Trail.
Founder and executive director of the inaugural Bosnian trail running competition, Jahorina Ultra Trail, Kavaz has been a trailblazer in promoting the sport. She also initiated the first snowshoeing project, Krpljanje BiH, in collaboration with the Olympic Centre Jahorina.
With over 15 years in public relations and digital marketing, Kavaz currently serves as the Executive Director of OCS Balkana Outdoor. Her diverse background includes 11 years in law enforcement and criminal investigations with the State Investigation and Protection Agency.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kavaz is a dedicated advocate for gender equality in outdoor sports and environmental protection. She has contributed significantly to charitable causes, reflecting her commitment to both community and the environment.
