Tim Cara is a lifelong entrepreneur who founded GeoWAN, an Australian IoT company. GeoWAN is a public LoRaWAN network provider supporting Smart Cities, Smart Industry, Smart Rural, IoT & you so every Australian can benefit. The company is helping drive the internet of things in Australia. Tim has lived and worked for extended part of his life in Serbia & Hungary where he draws his roots from.

He has spent extensive periods interacting with professionals from other industries to develop a comprehensive understanding of the human element in new product adoption. Tim is often proud to say that he has had no formal education besides his high school degree but that he has a degree in life and people, highlighting the importance he places on understanding human psychology and communications. GeoWAN supports Agricultural IoT solutions including horticultural systems, viticulture and broadacre irrigation. Pasture and livestock management including birth to plate principles, cold storage integrity, farm to self practices in food agility, flora health management and monitoring and natural disaster management. At IEEE BiH SYPC 2018 Tim will roll out a LoraWAN IoT network examples from Australia and recommendations in Bosnia & Herzegovina.×
