Daniel Wilén is the Managing Director at Arctic Game - northern Swedens games industry initiative - that has grown from a handful of studios to over 70 companies and 15 game educations since the start in 2016. Together with his colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders, Daniel has balanced the politicians’ need for regional growth and diversity, with the local game developer’s need for education, capital, business development and a strong industry network. A challenging but very inspiring task where it’s been crucial to understand each city's, company’s and individual’s needs and drivers. The result is a thriving ecosystem that has raised northern Sweden’s general attractiveness and made the region into a rising star within the global games industry market.
