2. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you visit the FLS website, purchase or redeem a ticket, contact us, subscribe for updates, make a Donate-a-Ticket contribution or otherwise interact with FLS.
The Foundation processes personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation, including the Law on Personal Data Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Where another data-protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation, applies to particular processing, we also process personal data in accordance with those requirements.
3. Personal Data We May Process
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:
- identification and contact details such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, city, country and postal code;
- ticket and registration information;
- order and transaction information;
- donation information;
- communications with us;
- newsletter and communication preferences;
- website and technical information such as IP address, browser and device information and cookie identifiers; and
- photographs, video or audio recorded at FLS events.
If you voluntarily provide information needed to accommodate dietary, accessibility or similar requirements, we will limit its use to the purpose for which it was provided and apply any additional safeguards required by law.
4. Why We Process Personal Data
We may process personal data where necessary:
- to process and administer ticket purchases and payments;
- to deliver tickets and ticket codes;
- to administer ticket redemption and Event registration;
- to provide information necessary for participation in the Event;
- to administer Donate-a-Ticket contributions;
- to provide customer support and respond to requests;
- to process refunds and complaints;
- to comply with accounting, tax, regulatory and other legal obligations;
- to protect the security of our website, transactions, attendees and systems; and
- to operate, document and improve FLS.
Depending on the processing activity, our legal basis may include performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests or your consent.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
5. Event and Transactional Communications
Purchasing a ticket or making a donation does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.
Regardless of marketing preferences, we may send communications that are reasonably necessary to administer a purchase, deliver a ticket, manage Event registration, provide important information concerning the Event, respond to a request, process a refund or otherwise provide a service requested by you.
These communications may include order confirmations, ticket information, registration and check-in instructions, venue information, important schedule changes, cancellation or postponement information, safety information and other communications necessary for the administration of FLS.
6. Marketing and Feedback
Where you separately choose to receive FLS news, future event announcements, opportunities or requests for feedback, we process your contact information for those purposes on the basis of your consent.
Marketing consent is optional and is not required to purchase a ticket or participate in the Event.
You may withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from these communications at any time without affecting your ticket or participation in the Event.
7. Payments
Card payments for FLS tickets are processed using Monri WebPay.
The Foundation does not store complete payment-card numbers or card verification values. Payment-card information required to complete the transaction is processed through the payment system.
Donate-a-Ticket contributions are currently processed through PayPal. PayPal processes payment information in accordance with its own privacy terms.
We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount paid and other information necessary to reconcile and administer a transaction.
8. Who May Receive Personal Data
We disclose personal data only where necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Recipients may include:
- payment service providers such as Monri Payments and PayPal;
- website hosting and technical-service providers;
- email and communication providers;
- Event registration and support providers;
- accounting and professional advisers where necessary; and
- public authorities where disclosure is required by law.
We do not sell personal data.
Service providers handling personal data on our behalf are required to protect it appropriately and use it only for authorized purposes.
9. International Data Transfers
Some technology or payment providers may process data outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the Foundation will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or contractual safeguard.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The FLS website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Strictly necessary technologies may be used to provide requested website functions such as security, shopping-cart operation or checkout.
Where consent is required, optional technologies such as analytics or marketing cookies will not be activated until the visitor has made the relevant choice.

11. Event Photography and Recording
Photography, video and audio recording may take place at Futures Leaders Summit events for purposes including documentation, reporting and promotion of FLS and the Foundation.
Where processing is based on the Foundation’s legitimate interests, we will take into account the rights and reasonable expectations of attendees. Where consent is legally required for a particular use, we will obtain it.

12. How Long We Keep Personal Data
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and applicable legal obligations.
Ticket, transaction and accounting information may be retained for the period required under applicable financial, tax and accounting laws.
Event-registration information is retained for the period necessary to administer the Event and related follow-up.
Marketing data is retained until consent is withdrawn or the information is no longer required.

13. Your Rights
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may have rights including:
