Goran Barbir is an international educator and school leader at Marymount International School Rome, where he teaches various Science curricula. He also coordinates the Student Council and coaches varsity basketball.

Over the course of his career, Goran has taught and held leadership positions in international schools in Italy and China, including serving as Vice-Principal and Head of Secondary at Udine International School, as well as Science Coordinator at King's College International School Wuxi. His experience encompasses academic leadership, pastoral care, curriculum development, teacher mentoring, examinations, student activities, and sports programmes.

With a scientific, environmental and educational academic background, Goran specializes in chemistry, environmental systems, interdisciplinary learning, and character development. He is particularly interested in sustainability, educational innovation, restorative practice, and helping young people develop purpose, agency, and social responsibility. His approach combines academic rigour with a strong commitment to students’ holistic growth and well-being.
