Bio
Dr. Maida Čohodar Husić graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Sarajevo and obtained her degree in 1990. She received her M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, in 1999 and her PhD in 2005 from the University of Sarajevo. The title of her PhD thesis was “Modelling and simulation of a robot system with flexible links using bond graphs”. She is full professor at University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. She is the responsible teacher and gives lectures on the courses: Pneumatics and Hydraulics, Modeling and Simulation of Dynamic Systems, Automation and Robots, Design of Mechatronic Systems and Computer Aided Manufacturing.
In the period from 2016-2020, she held the position of vice-rector for quality at the University of Sarajevo, and in the period from 2007-2015, she was appointed vice-dean for scientific research at the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
In her scientific work, she has been occupied with development, modelling and simulation of mechatronics systems. She wrote more than sixty scientific papers published in journals and international conferences, participated in the realization of over 30 projects, and was a mentor for two doctoral dissertations and more than 20 master’s theses.
