Bio
Dr. Mirza Pasic is an Assistant Professor at the University of Sarajevo’s Mechanical Engineering Faculty, with expertise in deep tech areas such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Neural Networks. He completed his PhD research on the development of neural network models for air quality prediction, finishing in just three years at the age of 25. With a perfect GPA of 10.00, he was awarded two Gold Medals for being the best student at the University of Sarajevo after completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Dr. Pasic has completed various courses in Python programming, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence from renowned institutions such as Goldsmiths University of London and MIT xPRO.
Apart from teaching courses on Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, Numerical Methods in Engineering, Economics, and Organizations of Enterprises, Finite Elements Methods in Mechanical Engineering, he has a keen interest in Industry 4.0, IoT, Lean management, Environment, Climate Change, and entrepreneurship. He has also been a project team member on nine EU funded and domestic research and scientific projects.
Dr. Pasic is not only an accomplished academician but also an avid runner and hiker. He has completed seven half marathons, several 5k and 10k runs, and many trail runs. In addition, he plays guitar. His deep tech and entrepreneurial skills, combined with his passion for physical activity and music, make him a well-rounded individual with a lot to offer.
